The road committee recently met with the Association Board and we've agreed on the current priorities!  You'll be seeing continued work on the needed repairs and cleaning of culverts, as well as some safety improvements. 

Due to the debt incurred by the emergency repairs two years back, the community has been unable to maintain the road correctly for the last few years.  Our two main priorites are to catch up on major road repairs and clean/repair the culverts to prevent more issues (if we ever get rain again).  As we are working with very little money, any major repairs or improvements will have to wait.

Our focus on safety improvements is limited at this time to vegetation clearance.  Work is beginning on the main road (specifically in the oaks and beginning of the valley).  Please make sure that your easement is adequately cleared for vehicles to safely pull off the road - both at ground and tree level.  If Keith's dump truck can't pull over into your easement, your easement isn't clear!  ;)

Since we are limited on funds, please volunteer for road work parties!  On the 1/28/06 work crew, 4 members were our 4H girls!  Kids (with adult supervision) are great at raking and shoveling.  If you don't want to swing a shovel, you can donate lunch!  Next notice, please call Jim Lohrman with however you can help!
