Kids from Camp Carrillo are walking and recruiting sponsors to provide bags of grain for families in Burkina Faso, an impoverished country in West Africa. $26 will buy a bag of grain that will feed a family of five for 1 month.
Why Burkina Faso? It’s an unknown, out-of-the-mainstream, dependent-upon-rain place. (Does that sound a bit like Rancho Carrillo??) This year, Burkina Faso has experienced one of the worst crop failures in 26 years. Today, many are hungry and suffering from hunger-related diseases, and others will die this year for lack of food. We can make a difference.
Every dollar donated will go directly to purchase life-saving grain for hungry families in Burkina Faso.
• 50 bags of grain – feed 50 families for one month $1300
• 25 bags of grain – feed 25 families for one month $650
• 15 bags of grain – feed 15 families for one month $390
• 10 bags of grain – feed 10 families for one month $260
• 5 bags of grain - feed 5 families for one month $130
• 4 bags of grain - feed 4 families for one month $104
