- The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) has issued the Final Environmental Impact Statement for the Lake Elsinore Advanced Pumped Storage (LEAPS) project. The site selected for the project is Decker Canyon in Riverside County.

- We have received an e-mail from a representative of the Cleveland National Forest regarding grazing of horses in wilderness areas around Rancho Carrillo.

- A minor earthquake shook the valley this morning at 4:30 AM. It was originated at almost the same location as the quake of September 2 -- just SW of I-15 at between Horse Thief Canyon and Mayhew Canyon.

- The Rancho Carrillo 2007 Hooligan survived an early season rain storm and succeeded in entertaining the crowd! Lot of money was changing hands to benefit the Rancho Carrillo Volunteer Fire Department.
